Book Submissions

Include a query letter. Introduce yourself and your project in a concise letter. Tell us about your writing experience, if you’ve been published (or self-published) previously, and any other details you would like us to know.

Project synopsis. In a separate letter, introduce your project to us. Make sure to include the title, genres, subgenres, a summary of the plot, the conflicts, and introduce the main characters.

The project. At Gemini Valley, we look for speculative fiction titles (this includes science fiction, fantasy, magical realism, alternate history, dystopias & utopias, etc). Send us a sample of your work (the first 3-4 chapters, and prologue if your project has one), and we will get back to you if we feel your project catches our interest.

Manuscript format. Please make sure your manuscript is in 12 pt. Times New Roman Font, double-spaced, and includes a title page, author name, a brief summary, and the first 3-4 chapters.

Be patient. As we read through all of our submissions, please have patience. Responses may take 2-3 weeks, but we will reply to every submission. If you submit to us when our submissions are closed, please keep in mind that we may not review it until our submissions are open again.

No AI Policy. Gemini Valley forbids the use of generative-AI in any of our projects. This includes genAI used in writing and art. If you used genAI in your project, do not bother submitting to us.
